Theodore ‘Teddy’ A. Weaver of Newark, Del.
Theodore “Teddy” A. Weaver, 70, of Newark, Del., died Friday, October 8, 2010 at the Christiana Hospital.
He was the husband of Betty Hurt Weaver, with whom he shared 22 years of marriage.
Born in West Chester, he was a son of the late Raymond and Ruby Hart Weaver.
Teddy loved all types of professional sports, especially the Phillies and was an avid card player. His grandchildren affectionately referred to him as “Pop Pop Donut.” He especially enjoyed lunches with his sons every Wednesday and donuts with his grandchildren every Sunday. Teddy’s love for his family and friends was infectious and he will be missed by all.
Survivors include, in addition to his wife, three sons, Chris Weaver and his wife Lisa of Avondale, Jeff Weaver and his wife Elizabeth of Kennett Square and Kenny Vance and his wife Jessie of Edgewood, Md.; one brother, Ralph Weaver and his wife Maxine of Kennett Square; one sister, Joan Hanna of Jennersville; and nine grandchildren, Alyssa, Jeffrey, Samantha, Alec, Grace, Ruben, Elijah and Melissa.
He was predeceased by a brother Don, a daughter Pamela and a grandson Joshua.
A funeral service will be held at 6 p.m. Tuesday, October 12, at the Kuzo & Grieco Funeral Home Inc. (610-444-4116), 250 W. State St., Kennett Square, PA 19348.
Family and friends may visit with the family from 4 to 6 p.m. before the service.
Interment will be held privately.
